Squid ???

Headed out of Mission Bay on 5/19 looking for Mr. T like quite a few other boats. No luck with the thresher we had one knock down but never saw it so don't know what that was. We did however catch two giant squid one on a Rapala and one on a Marauder and farmed one on a Pink Lady BOM.

Headed out in the afternoon looking for paddies. We found two holding lots of Yellowtails, good sized ones at that. We tried live bait, surface irons, yo yo irons, and trolling around them for a while they just weren't very hungry.

Those pesky squid are sure wearing out their welcome this year. No bigger disapointment than getting a knock down on the Bait-O-matic after along day of trolling, and having nothing more than a squirting gunny sack to show for it.

Did you find the yellows straight out? I heard some guys 5 out from the T crowd found some last week.
