There are some seabass in the ocean

Fish and hooped sat-sun. Great day on the water. Huge variety of fish caught. Ended the day with 20bugs, 6 seabass largest fish going 19lbs and the rest right under legal. 6 halibut 4 kept for dinner and a variety of other fish. Just a great day with great guys to fish with

Off to a good start Joe. Are you making squid yet?

I picked up a Catalina chart last week and UPS just delivered the book "In The Gray" by Mark Wisch. Jive me a few weeks to digest all the info in the book and I'll be ready for a road trip up your way.

Keep me in mind when things start looking good. I can trailer up and run with you or meet you on the water.

Thanks Mike. The book can be helpful, but take it for what its worth. More times its who you know and not what you know. If you don't fish the Island alot it can be very frustrating to catch one of those bastards. If I had one month to pick to fish the island it would be June. We didn't have to make squid this trip. One of the guys fishing on the boat was childhood friends with one of the squid boat captains, so he hooked us up with a nice scoop. We have plenty of freshdead we made a few months back so even if we don't make bait we have the dead to fish with.

You don't have to go that far Mike, It's right off LJ right now! Tuesday was epic up to 56#, I had a shot to go today but too much work! I'll see what my buddy did this AM and post tonight. They're coming your way Joe!
