Well after listening to several folks tell me how great the albie fishing was last week before the 4th of July I had to get out there. Re-arranged my Sunday schedule to make it happen and pulled together a couple friends to share costs. Long story short, fished N end of the Kidney Bank for 1 decent yellowtail. Not alot of boats out there but, the few that I heard all reported nada. Best report I heard was at the end of the day a guy claimed he pulled 5 Albies from the 295 late afternoon (radio fish?). Lots of patchy water with conditions looking fair near the 224 (clear and 64.5 degrees). Lots of meter marks but, no eaters.
Burned 30 gal of fuel all day.
