freshwater tank

Kind of dumb question but has anyone tried to clean out their freshwater tank?
If so, how did you do it and could you, or better yet would you, use it for drinking water?

I just use a cap full of bleach once and a while to keep it sanitized. To clean it out? Not sure on that one. I would probably put 2 or three cups of bleach in it and fill it up. Then let it sit for a day, pump it out and flush thoroughly.
