Boy did we luck out BBQing on Saturday. The weather did a 180 on Sunday and blew me off the halibut grounds before noon.
It was blowing when I left Mission Bay and dead calm at Torrey by the time I made it up there. Bounce ball the first hour along a new patch of kelp for one nice bite that didn't stick. By 10 there was enough drift to fish bait and I picked up a short WSB(you called it Yale) and a Sandbass before someone kicked on the wind machine. By 11 it was full on white caps and way to much work to stay on the spot. Called it a day and pounded my way back down the beach.

p.s. Fishing might have sucked but I had some great BBQed pork sandwiches for lunch. Thank's for the leftovers.
