Raw water pump cover

Can the Raw water pump cover on a AQAD40B be flipped around? My cover has some pretty good grooves in it. Thought about surfacing the other side.

I don't see why it won't work. The two holes on the left, covering the cam are closer together than the other three but the holes do line up as long as you keep the cam end of the cover over the cam.

I don't think the stamped in part numbers on the face are anywhere near as deep as the groves in the 3 covers I have.
