That's a sweet looking ride Larry. Can't believe it will be on the market long for that price.
Was that boat ever diesel powered? I know Brian would love to move into a flybride but I think he prefers to keep his 40B engine.

Thanks Mike... It's always had a gas engine. I would have liked to put a diesel in it but I put another 5.7 when I repowered it 60 hours ago. The new vortec has a little more power and runs real quiet. I typically cruise @ 2800-3000 rpms and that usally pushes the boat at 17-21 knots depending on sea conditions. I don't think I have ever had the boat up at WOT. Goes real fast though.
I'm just not getting out like a lot of you guys and when I do, it's been surf trips up at the Point Conception area. I've got a smaller boat (17' Arima Sea Ranger) that works well for those kinda trips.

How many hours did you get from your first 5.7?

The last 5.7 got approximately 1675 hours out of it. It was actually running strong and on a trip up to Point Conception it broke and ceased right outside of Naples Reef. Really never looked at fixing the engine because of the hours so I just replaced it.
