I would never have thought I would be dropping a Cowcod and replacing it with a Red, but this one was a beast at 9 1/2 pounds.

Nice Pig. I've caught a couple of nice reds(nothing like that) with a pink Williamson jig like that in 5 oz size, but not the bigger 9 oz size you need most days to hit the top of the rockpile without going 50 feet to the side. Those flat days on the ocean are special with little drift and they fight pretty good on a baitcaiting reel.
