I want to re-plumb the bait tank, the lines are looking bad so I want to just replace them before it becomes an issue at sea. It all looks pretty straight forward but I have a couple of questions
1 how do I remove the teak block at the bottom of the tank on the port side
2 Is there a light underneath the tank. I have a breaker for a bait tank light but do not see one
3 Do I have to remove the tank to replace the input line.

Thanks

Eric

On my 23 the light is on the backside of the teak block. My block is screwed to the tank with 2 stainless screws. If the light is bad, go with a sealed LED light.

Any time I need to get to my fittings, I unscrew the tank from the deck and tip it back so I can reach the hoses.

Do your best to make sure the fill line makes a gradual slope from the thru hull fitting up to the tank fitting. This will allow the air from the prop wash when backing down, to naturally vent up the hose and the pump will re-prime without cycling it off and on.

Hey Eric,

I have a few LED modules you can try to make it work...
PM me your address and I can mail them to you or you can
stop by my house and pick them up. I have the kill bag for
you too. Kill bag is a little too big to ship...

Thanks for the input,
I think I'm going to tear into it next week. Zack I'll give you a call and let you know what day and time I'll be there. I may take it to my friends house over off Cannon. It's like tool depot over there. Alan I'll pm you my adress if you want to send down the LED's Last question I usualy use 3M 5200 on most of my sealing needs is that the best stuff to re seal the tank or is there a better product?

Yea no worries Eric..... Just call me when you are over at buddies house. No need to use 5200 on the tank. Remind me when you call, I have a tank light in my garage. Zack
