i just bought a 1996 26' billfisher i have the 200hp volvo diesel and 290 dp out drive with a-4 props ive have a bad cavitation problem, the power trim motor was bleeding out thought that might be the problem so i replaced it and i had my props rebalanced they said they wrere ok even that they are pretty old i have the big kd transducer thats mounted center of the keel but i think its up far enough that it wouldnt matter im thinking mabe the prop hubs are spun , the boat dont cavitate until i run for about 20 minutes , anybody have any input on this problem id appreciate it

Sound like you spun a prop to me. Try pulling your props and painting a line from the hub to the prop, then run the boat again. If the line on the hub doesn't match the line on the prop, your hub is spinning.

I have an older 23' with a 40 engine. Most of the 26s with the 41 are running A4 or A5 props.

A3s or A4s for the 41; depending on the Outdrive ratio either 1.92 or 1.78
If you're not running with the outdrive trimmed all the way down (-2 to-5), you're going to get cavitation at speeds less than 16-18 kts.
