Amigos!

So I’m feeling that we should throw a date out there to get things started. Some of us need something to look forward too and daydream about.

Bahia de Los Angeles

June 12th (Thursday) Full Moon
June 18th (Wed)

or?

June 19th (Thursday)
June 25th (Wed)

I'll be dragging Hamachi Girl down there again. With my buddy Jerry and his Davis 22'. Sounds like Kelly (Beardog) is in with his OB 23 (or backup Parker 18).

If we get another Blackman in maybe we can make it a Tournament with double points and I'll wrap some rods as giveaways.

Who’s in?

I'm looking for your trip report but couldn't find it... come on man we need some inspiration!

Jerry on Hammerhead wanted to do a trip in the May timeframe and one in late August or Sept (with our ladies).

What's your opinion on the moonphase? Is it going to make a difference?

Full Moon = BIG TIDE SWING

June 13th (Friday) would be a full moon that night and our first day of fishing.

Mike's tide/moon/witchcraft site lists the days as:
Friday - Very High
Saturday - High
Sunday - Average
Monday - Low
Tuesday - Average

My fishing buddy here at work seems to swear by fishing on days with a full moon and he kills the Yellows and WSB.

On the other hand, I've heard "don't go after a full moon because the fish are up all night eating, drinking and partying and are going to be full, tired, and hungover the next day."

I'm from the school of thought that any day that I'm not at work and out on the water is the day to go.

The next week:

Friday - Average
Saturday - Low
Sunday - Average
Monday - Average
Tuesday - High

One other thing on my mind is having a huge tide swing on The Sea of Cortez a good thing? When I was down there last June it didn't seem out of the ordinary. On a full moon is it going to be like somebody flushed the toilet?

... or just shut up and fish?

Like me, fish are hungry anytime theirs food around for them.
The big problem down there on a full or new moon is due to the sketchy boat ramp situation on a low tide. Picking the right time to launch and retrive the boat and sometimes anchoring up for the night may prove trouble some and you may loose a little fish n time with the wait. Other than that Viva bola!

Guillermo's ramp was pretty good last time even at low tide. Ok... I'll shut up and fish.
