lifting struts

hello blackman owners,i've had a 26 billfisher for ten years but just found about your web site, great source of info and knowledge!i would like to instal a strut to lift and hold the engine hatch. any help on hatch wieght or specific type of strut would be greatly appreciated thanks tom

I don't know if anyone has added struts to hatch yet. there is a lot of good info on how to select them based on mounting location and weight of the lift.

I did a quick search with google and came up with lots of good info. Some manufacturers had a 1-800 number for advice.
