Auto pilot compass ????

Does anyone know if a magna flux compass will be bothered by the fuel sending unit on a fuel tank?

I'm thinking about mounting mine on the rear bulkhead of the fuel tank compartment. That's about the best looking place that I can see at this point.

When I installed my Raymarine unit, I had to buy an extension cable and put the compass all the way forward in the anchor locker to get it to track correctly. The guy who recommended the unit said his compass was mounted next to the inverter and electrical panel with no problems.

Just be flexible in you mounting location. It might have been my batteries that I had to move away from. I really don't know for sure.

Install and test drive were completed today! So far there are no issues and it's working as advertised - I'm in loooovvvvve!!!!!!!!!!!!
