Russ joined me on the sea trial for my new boat. I was close to buying a 1996 33' Riviera. Unfortunatly the boat had a few problems during the survey process which prompted me to look around. Found a new listing for a 1999 34' Riviera up in Huntington Beach. The boat is cherry with just over 400 hours on it.
Survey was last Friday and so far so good (minor issues). Sea trial on Saturday which went great. Cruised out of the harbor and pushed up the throttle. Smooth acceleration to 30 knots and then backed off to a cruise of 25. Seas were a bit sloppy but the boat cut right through it. The boat looks new, in and out.
Engine survey Monday, haul out Wednesday and hopefully closing Friday!
