Does anyone know what autopilot would be best for a 23 ft blackman. I have looked at the Simrad units. Has anyone had luck with the Raymarine products. Does any of this stuff ever show up on E-Bay? Any help would be appreciated.

Josh: Rarely will you see this stuff on ebay. For mechanical steering or power assist, it is tough to beat the simrad ap14r. I have had it in my 20 for some time now and love it. I also looked at the sitex sp70. They are both comparable units. For hydalic steering, look at the simrad ap 11 like Nomads. WWW.BETHEL-MARINE has great pricing online.

Good luck. Makes the longer runs much more manageable. Just dont fall overboard.

RT, Did you buy a Raymarine unit? What is up with them. Or is it that we just dont like Rathyon products. Personally I am a Furuno guy. Thanks for all the feedback especially concerning the sitex unit.

We installed the Siteh SP70 Don Blackman talked me in to it. We have been happy with it it sure was easy to install cost around 1,100.00 Bethel Marine. If I hade it to do over the Simrad is a beter unit cost more and works a little better I think.
