Bimini Twist

Needed a place to mount my radar dome, but didn't want a full arch, due to the likelihood my full canvas cover would not longer fit. Also, I didn't want the added weight on my flybridge, and didn't want to lose any more room up the sides to the bow. Called Mike's (No Slack) brother-in-law Dan, who has a fabricating company called DanFab (619-477-1145). Explained what I wanted, but I had no idea how to make it work. Dan shows up, takes some measurements, and about a week and a half later he shows up with this design, and begins installation. Couldn't be happier with his work. When it comes to custom fabrication, this guy rules. By removing two bolts, I can lower the pole into a postion for covering or travelling. It weighs substantially less than a full arch, and doesn't impede access up the sides of my boat. I think it looks pretty good too.
