Fuel line check valve
Posted by moo fish on Dec-10-03 at 06:08 AM
Yes it is maintenance time.....the 40A needs a push of the throttle to fire off. The colder the engine, the more throttle required. I have been following a thread on Diesel.com on a similiar situation with a 41. Is a throttle bump to start common?? Has anyone installed a check valve in the fuel line (before the lift pump)?? If so, what kind---spring loaded or flapper?? Ever heard of Magnacheck checkvalves??......rt on the Moo Fish

if you have a Racor 500 filter, there is a ball ckeck inside of if. The ball could be pitted and not making a good seal(mine is).
