PS Doghouse I gotta 12" octopus in the freezer that has 30 lb lingcod written all over it. Got any tips on where I might dangle such a creature for a shot at a whopper - thinken about haulin Nathan out to the 9 on Friday.

I'll try to PM you a spot Weds or Thurs that has worked very well in the past for me on the bottom edge of the 9. A 30 down this way is almost unheard of anymore, I did lead a buddy to a 28 off this spot once and in it's prime I caught and released 4 over 20#, one afternoon from 2PM to 330PM, the largest was 24#, all on horse mackeral . Nothing huge for us this year with the largest going about 12#; we have released alot of 7-8# lings due to our 26" minimum boat limit. I'll send you a backup spot for quality not quanity!
