Today was the day I would determine once and for all what part I play in the all to common saying "we suck" when my Bro in-law am I fish together.
Last week I took him halibut fishing on Tuesday and we came home with an empty cooler. On Thursday I repeated the trip but left my black cloud Bro at home. I bring home 2 keepers on that day.
This week I take him out looking for paddies on Tuesday and we can't even find one much less catch a fish. Today I head offshore again and leave old lucky on the beach.
I launched at 4am and headed for the 371 with a tank full of grade A dines. By day break I was 10 off the spot and adjusted my course for the 425. 7 miles from the 425 at 32 22 X 117 25 I come into an area loaded with paddies. I pull a #24 yellow off the first one then slide over to one I can see breaking fish on.
Full speed Dodos and tail for the next hour. Packed it in and headed home at 7:30 with a full box.
Mike
Tails were #18 to #24 with one rat released.
