Tsubasa

I am a deckhand on the Tsubasa, a 43' custom Blackman built in 1968. I have been reading the board off and on since my brother purchased the boat earlier this summer. From what I gather, I think our boat is one of the first boats built by Blackman. The Tsubasa has a sturdy wooden hull, with a teak cockpit and walk around deck. It's design is slightly similar to the Retriever.

The Tsubasa has been a sport fishing charter boat in Honolulu, Hawaii since 1997. It successfully transit the Pacific from San Diego to Hawaii on its own power. I really enjoy this boat, it was built well and built to last. I am glad there is a place for Blackman boat enthusiast.:)

RJ,
Congrats on the purchase of the yachtfisher. Good to hear from a Blackman owner in the islands. I'm sure I speak for the majority of the guys on this board when I say that we'd love to get an occasional fish report from you and your brother. Are you guys running charters? If so I 'd be interested in more info about your operation.
Aloha and Mahalo,
Scott
