Paid $2.59 for road diesel at the Grossmont summit ARCO off Hwy 8.

It's almost affordable again. Just called Dana landing and they quoted me $3.59 gal unless you get over 100 gal then you supposedly get another .10 cents off per gal.

Let's see. Trailer the boat down to SOCAL truck stop which will cost me approximately $18 in truck fuel plus an hour of my time and get 100 gal of diesel for $239.

Or launch the boat which will cost me about $6.00 in truck fuel and about 1.5 hours of my time then go to Dana and pay maybe $3.49 per gal for $349?

Hmmm at at savings of $98. I think I'll be visiting SOCAL truck stop soon.

My buddy just called Annabelle's fuel barge at Bahia Tortuga and got quoted $2.40 per gal. The lucky dog is a crewmember on a wahoo tagging expedition which is departing Saturday onboard the 42' Bertram "Impulse".
