It was a tough day on the water today. Way to much current off Torrey Pines for the cod and not enough wind to drift for halibut on the beach.
Tossed in the towel around 11 and started back south. When I round the corner of the south kelp I see Fire Escape drifting out in front of the PB pier.
Misery love company so I slid in 100 yards to the outside and start drifting for halibut again. I picked up a 23" keeper on the first drift and released a short on the next pass.
12:45 and it's time to get on the trailer before the tide got to low. Just a little spin of the tires for the first real low tide test for the new 2wd rig.
