Teak Rubrail Adhesive?

I removed a cracked 6' section of my teak rubrail and milled a new piece. Does anyone know what was originally used to bed and seal the rubrail area. It almost looks like M5200?

I used Teak colored LifeCaulk when I removed all the rubrails, and sanded off the years of wear. Drill out any broken screws, epoxy fill, redrill new holes, tape off lines between the fiberglass and wood well, and rebed with LifeCaulk. Then rub out a nice bead between tape lines.

The original stuff was nasty to get off, inconsistent in application, and had gone to leaking bad. Looked like old technology stuff that dried out.

I Called Shirley and she told me that the stuff they use is called Sikaflex 1A. Whitecap Contruction Supplies sells it in your typical caulk tubes. It is a high grade polyurethane construction adhesive sealant.

Maybe now they use that.. not when my boat was built is my guess.
