I'll bring beer, chips, pretzels, paper towels, paper plates, plastic utensils, table and afew chairs
I'll bring a BBQ, canopy, table, Doug's chair from 04, cold hot dogs for Marc and something to grill for the rest of us.
I have a deep fryer if we need it.
Mike
I'll bring a gas grill, hot links, buns, and condiments. I'm hoping to hear some good stories about Catalina WSB and great whites under the lights. Speaking of lights; I was at the Blackman's shop yesterday and there is a Billfisher for sale in the lot with those digital underwater lights mounted on the transome just above the trim tabs. They look really cool. Shirley got to talking about marlin and her eyes really lit up. Someone needs to take her fishing.
I will bring a couple of MC pies
Same as last year?
Lemon and Lime?
Phil
When and where is the Q? I would like to attend. Doug-
I also would like to know where the bbq is going to be held. I was thinking of bringing down my 5th wheel and didn’t know if there would be room. It will give us some shade and power for the blender. Do we have a start time yet? If you guys want to step it up. Zack and I where going to make a few bug runs up here the week before the Q. a little surf and turf. If we get a good head count the week before Zack and I will make it happen. Joe
BBQ is 11/18 and starts at noonish in the Marina Village (Mission Bay) parking lots in front of J dock.
Alright, what else do we need? Any recommendations on what I can bring?
Pretty much anything goes. Last year I did blackened salmon, Yale is famous for his fried fish and Mike brings enough lobster to feed the entire marina (maybe not this year, I hear it's off to a slow start). Scott brings hot links that will melt your face and Pepe has a kick ass salsa. Whatever your specialty is!
I'm pretty sure I can secure enough fresh cod for Tacos or Fish and Chips, if you want tuna it will have to be from frozen reserves.
We will bring a vegetable platter and homemade blu cheese dressing. Oh yea, and a table.
Phil
Gotta bail out around 4 so I'll bring some skewers for the BBQ.
Hey guys..... What are we missing for the BBQ ? I'm going to bring some yellowfin for the BBQ, also some yft jerky and smoked. Let me know
thanks zack
I will bring some bugs and anything else we need. Do we have a good head count yet? Joe
Joe
Figure on 12 to 15 showing up. Like most pot lucks there's way to much food left over at the end of the day, so don't go overboard on the chow.
Mike
Sorry I'm late. What about some hot salsa and fresh tortillas from the tortilleria;corn and flour.
Since I'm late I'll check the list and see whats missing.
Ummm. Fresh lobster tacos. How many of you guys are bringing your wives or better half? Mine is busting my balls about if shes going or not.
Honey, do you want to go talk about boats and fishing for 3 hours? I didn’t think so but I thought I’d ask.
Yale's right Joe, it's a decoy ! She just wants you to feel bad about not being able to go and then WHAM, another grand on the credit card from the day of shopping while you're out with the guys!
Just smile and pay the bill,a boatowner NEVER wins the battle of the disposable income war !
