That's a nice Bluefin. Did you get it on bait or a jig strike.
Good to hear the boat is running great again.

It has always run good. Just no time to use it. We had a double trolling rapalas. One popped off as we tried to stop and sling bait. They were gone before I could get the boat out of gear.

We fished Sunday the 181/182/30 mile loop looking for kelps to spear yellows. Saw one of every kind - fin whale, blue whale, rizzo, dolphin, and sea lion. No fish. Found two kelps (actually found two boats fishing kelps). After one boat left we jumped in and saw one small scared yellow tail and i missed my shot. Not a single other fish. Released a nice half scoop of sardines in the channel after taking them oon a 110 mile ride. Water was flat, calm and no wind.
I hope to be out in the deep in about 2 weeks after I get everything fine tuned. I am thinking if you find a goo patty we should be able to do well. I feel like something is going to pop real soon.
I think I missed it by a week. Already starting to be better than the last few years. Going the weekend after next.
