Has anyone on here removed the bench seat and put two captains chairs in the flybridge and if so I was wondering if it's better or worst?
Thanks chad

No, but I raised my seat 2".....made a huge difference.
I suggest you raise your seat until you feet just touch the deck.
I used runners of 1/4 thick plastic and stacked them up.....Went with the longest bolts West Marine had in stock.
Looks like there is also enough room that the hatch could be on runner going under the seat, but I have not tried that yet

Ya I want to try that I have extra foam in my seat but it didn't really raise it, I was thinking if I removed the seat and box and put captains chairs it would take some weight out I the bridge, what do you think ?
I would think the 2 Captain's chairs with the aluminum bases would be heavier than the bench seat and fiberglass base. My buddy Dan when he had his 26 Billfisher put a Captains chair in the center right behind the helm and then had a smaller chair to the right. I'm not sure but I think he had a railing with rod holders on the rear of the bridge. I can see if he has any pics of it and send them if you wish; I don't know where his boat went after he sold it.
Found this picture from 2004 on our picture site
