The hour meter says 1850 hrs, I just had the injectors rebuilt in August, turbo seems to be working fine I get the full range of rpms, smokes at low speeds around 2300-2500, not an issue from idle to 2100 and 2700 rpm and above.

From about 2100 to 2500-2600 you are least efficient motor wise and probably hull wise too , the turbo kicks around @ 2700. Your trolling RPM is probably between 1800-2100 for 7-8.5 kts, @ 3000 RPM mine would do between 14-15.2 kts. WTF are you putzing around @ 10-14 kts? Get over it and Gun it!Originally Posted by Imiloa
We are trolling but it's pretty bumpy on the windward side of the island on most occasions you could go faster but the body and boat take a beating, 2100 is a good trolling speed 7 to 8 kts but can't cover much ground, 2300 to 2500 10+ kts is when we are hunting or running to the pile, now if it were Kona that would be a different story.
engine is sold,still have 280 dual prop outdrive,,,
