    Default March 17 cod

Hit the lower 9 after making a few macs. Things started out pretty slow with a handful of speckles off some of my normal spots. Decided to move down to the Wall and put the Macs to use on the Lingcod. With the 8 macs we had, we managed two nice Lingcod. Moved around a little more before stopping to see how Dog House was doing on the outside spot. He said he was picking away at a few Reds on the spot but it wasn't wide open. We took off from there and set up on some hard bottom a 1/4 mile away. This spot produced our first decent bite of the day on the bigger Reds.

Ended the day with 8 Reds, 9 Speckles, 2 nice Lingcod and a greenspot

Lingcod are separate from rockfish. This year the California limit for Lingcod dropped to one fish. When we fish below the border we stick to 5 of any species and fill out our declaration forms.
