Just noticed a extremely clean Billfisher on Craigslist. Looks like the pictures were taken in Mission Bay. Twin 4-cylinder 31 diesels, w/burgandy trim.

Nice looking ride.

It must be Tom Dow's boat.
Brian_g has been looking at the ad, and asking if any of us know anything about the boat. I don't know anything about the boat or owner. Only mentioned that with twins, you get manueverability, but probably lose the one ton fish hold and lots of storage?

"The Reel One"
26' Billfisher
Any info on this boat, including opinions on the twin engines would be greatly appreciated. My family and I have been looking for a blackman outerbanks or billfisher for quite some time to no avail. Maybe the criteria of 95' or newer is not that important. Any opinions on cut off age for buying a blackman (generally speaking of course).
thanks,
Brian
It's a very nice boat, Tom used to be behind us @ Marina Village and he did alot of work to the boat (maintenence, polishing, etc.) He's a 2 boat owner so I'm sure he's anxious to sell. Twins are nice but I think personally think he's a little high @ 75,000; I think twins are a little slower than the I/o's and shaft models but I could be wrong(I rode in an 84 model and it's best cruise was 13-14 topped @ 18) maybe the newer ones had more HP. You do lose the fish hold if it is shaft drive.
there is an 1998 Blackman 26' Express for sale on AMS site http://www.sdboats.com/images/toniv.htm Price looks high to me, but I have not seen this boat.
We have a 26' billfisher for sale, its a 2002, fully loaded on electronics, has the single volvo I/O. Has a tv with power antennae, outriggers, full raymarine electronics(autopilot, sonar, radar, chart/gps), it also has an inverter as well as it comes with a trailer with newly recarpeted bunks. It has a full eisenglass enclosure for the flybridge as well as a new cover. The boat has been kept in a garage since last season. It also has a life raft with holder and hydrostatic release, as well as an epirb with hydrostatic release. The boat has been very well maintained. It only has 521 hours. This used to be Charlie's boat, the NOMAD. Looking for 105,000.
Thanks
Zack
PS
