Default New Stern Rail for the Laura Mei

Joe made a beautiful Honduran mahogany stern rail for the Laura Mei. I have wanted one ever since I saw the one on his boat, the Honey Girl. The stock Blackman stern rails are too low. This one hits me right at the waist. Here are some pics. It came out beautiful. Thanks again Joe! -- Charley

    Very Nice

I was just talking about my rail was hurting my legs. How much hight did you get with this. How much higher is the top of the wood than the SS rail was.

I'm 6'3" i'm not sure I can go that high with a rail I may be stuck with what I have. It would need to go up more than a foot to hit my waist.

    It looks great

It is about a foot higher than the stock stainless steel rail. I don't know the exact height but I will measure and post it. I am 5' 8" and the new rail is right at my waist. You should be able to go 6 inches or so higher without much problem.

Give it another week or two smorgasboard and your waist will come down and meet your existing rail!

Joe's rail upgrade is the best upgrade for the 26' since Don went to a fiberglass deck in the mid 80's.

    Nice work Joe.
